I love how Mary GrandPre has been changing the artwork in the books. For the first 3 I really disliked it (she had the characters wearing friggin capes instead of robes. : But for the last 3 books, I've loved how she's drawn the characters--especially in book 6. They're all very close to how I imagine the characters. Anybody who's seen her artwork agree with me? www.mugglenet.com/books/chapterpics/index.shtml(I wish I could find a way of getting the chapter pics of book 6 on the internet, but I have a fear of lawyers and copyright infringement, and jail, and fines, and lawyers. Oh yes, especially lawyers. )

Oh I simply love her drawings! They are very accurate in how JKR describes them. The only one that I don't like is her depiction of Snape but in HBP the drawing of him was actually quite good. I worry also about those copyright people! They are so scary!

Yeah, I never picture Snape with a goatee. I usually picture him as the Alan Rickman incognito as Snape.
